The Albergo Marin is located in the historic center of Venice.

Although in a quiet, noncommercial neighborhood, it is less than a five minute walk from the Venetian train station of Santa Lucia and equally convenient to the parking garages and bus terminals at Piazzale Roma, permitting easy bus and taxi access to the Venetian airport of Marco Polo as well as that of Treviso.

Moreover, the Albergo Marin is just 30 meters from the Grand Canal, the most important channel of Venice, and no more than 2 minutes walk from the new famous modern bridge built from arch. Calatrava and named “Ponte di Calatrava” (or Ponte della Costituzione): a touch of modern in such an historical and ancient city!

How to get there

Just a few minutes’ walk from Venice Santa Lucia train station and Piazzale Roma, Hotel Marin offers a truly strategic position. Nestled in a quiet Venetian alley, away from the main tourist crowds, our hotel combines the comfort of being close to all transport links with the charm of an authentic and peaceful stay. Whether you are arriving by train, bus or water taxi, reaching us is easy and stress-free – the perfect starting point to explore the wonders of Venice on foot.

From Piazzale Roma, where guests can leave their cars, the hotel can be reached by feet only, walking for 3 minutes along the grand canal, turning on the right after the church of San Simeon Piccolo, then followoing the street (it makes a sort of U).

From Venice Marco Polo airport, you can choose to take a water taxi leading you directly to the hotel in about 30 minutes (the cost is around €110,00/120,00) or the public bus line 5 (every 30 minutes) leading you to Piazzale Roma.

Then follow the indications mentioned above. Alternatively, there’s ALILAGUNA waterbus (15.00 euro per person) which leads you up to Guglie Bridge: from there, you can come either by feet, up to ferrovia, crossing Scalzi Bridge and turning left before the church, or by waterbus, line 4.1, up to piazzale roma, then by feet following above indications (by car section).

Once you reach Santa Lucia Venice trainstation, which is the last one, please exit the trainstation and breath your first Venecian magic air. After you will have enjoyed this impressive sensation, turn and cross the bridge you find on your right, which is known as “Ponte degli Scalzi”. After the bridge, turn right, go on for 20 meters, then turn left before the church, follow the street making a “U”, then look at our 4 tables which lie outside: your home in Venice is here!
